The peninsula's most famous holes are represented in these breathtaking natural landscapes of the ocean, rocks, foliage and terrain—which bring to mind the work of Ansel Adams. Ranging from 6-1/2 x 8-1/2" to 8-1/4 x 11-1/2", they are Type I photos with news-service stampings/captions or studio stamps. Highlighted by: 1950 "CROSBY TOURNEY ENDS IN FOUR-WAY TIE...Sammy Snead, Smiley Quick, Dave Douglas and Jackie Burke Jr."; and 1953 arrow diagram of the par-five, 540-yard dog leg known as "The Finisher." Also includes: 1920s (1), 1930s (2), 1950s (3), 1960s (3), 1970s (2) and undated (1). Typical peripheral wear due to routine newsroom usage.
