This wonderful shot of the superstar and his adoring fans measures 8-1/2 x 7" and comes from the Associated Press. It is captioned on the reverse, "JONES IS PRESENTED BRITISH OPEN CUP - To the victor go the spoils - Bobby Jones (left) being presented with the British Open Cup by the Captain of the Hoylake Club, June 20, immediately after he completed the final round with a total score of 291. Recognized as probably the greatest golfer of all times, he now holds the title in three of the four main golfing events in England and the United States, the U.S. Open, the British Open and the British Amateur. Leo Diegel and MacDonald Smith tie for second with 293 in the British Open just completed." Typical minor peripheral wear due to newsroom usage.
