With legends DiMaggio and Williams limited to pinch hitting duties, the National League thought it would finally be the victor in the 1948 All Star Game, as the American League had been dominating the Mid Summer Classic since its inception. Unfortunately for the National League it couldn’t be so as their cross-league rivals won 5-2, with DiMaggio adding insult to injury (literally) by hitting an RBI liner to left field in the fourth inning. Presented is a full ticket from that game which is encapsulated and graded GD 2 by PSA. The Sportsman Park Res. Seat Upper Deck voucher does feature a spot of paper loss on the bottom right (accounting for its technical assessment) and light creasing but otherwise features vibrant colors, bold print and solid illustrations. An excellent collectible from the July 13, 1948 game, this is a must have for ticket collectors!
