Description

It was of course 1910 when James J. Jeffries recorded his final fight (against Jack Johnson), and Jess Willard's career started the following year (against Lewis Fink). Yet the two pugilists are linked here by these approximately 7 x 2-1/4" souvenir silk ribbons, each with jet-black print of their respective surname. The pair is extremely well-preserved with sharp edges and clean surfaces, aside from a few tiny, negligible spots and pin holes. There are also two small peripheral lines of thread wear on the Willard.
