Detailed description on our website.
To quote rock band The Police “giant steps are what you take, walking on the moon”. No larger lunar steps were taken than those of Apollo 11 Commander Neil Armstrong when he made “one giant leap for mankind” as the first person to walk on the moon on 7/21/69. Make a giant collecting leap by taking possession of this fully authenticated Neil Armstrong signed photo. A black & white photo of Armstrong measuring 5-1/2 x 9-1/2” includes a blank space at top, perfectly suited for autographing, which is exactly what the first man to walk on the moon did. Armstrong’s distinctive black fiber-tip marker signature shows (“7-8”) potency with the very scarce inscription “Apollo 11”, taking up most of the 5-1/2 x 2-1/2” white area. The clean and glossy photo depicts the celebrated astronaut is his younger days as a crew-cut member of our space program. This photo remains attached to a backing sheet of paper at the bottom left corner only and looks like it could easily be detached from the backing if so desired. The backing sheet is in turn attached to a larger sheet of paper along the right side and shows evidence of prior matting/framing at the corners in the form of light tape stains, which do not in any way affect Armstrong’s prized autographed. Printed text on the photo’s reverse indicates it was cut from the Silver Buffalo Awards section of a 60th Annual Meeting of the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America program.
