The 1989 World Series was historic not due to anything that occurred on the field, but because of the earthquake that occurred just minutes before the start of Game 3 (a 6.9 on the Richter scale). The involved clubs (Giants and Athletics) were both from the Bay Area of California and so the series was delayed for ten days while players and their families joined the city in mourning the natural disaster. Once baseball resumed, it became evident that the better team was clearly the Oakland Athletics, who outscored the Giants 32-14 in the four-game sweep. Presented is a 1989 World Series Complete Full Ticket Run of (4) with vouchers that present in average NM to NM-MT condition. Includes: 1) Oakland-Alameda County Stadium 1989 World Series Game 1 “Upper Reserve” full ticket; 2) Oakland-Alameda County Stadium 1989 World Series Game 2 “Upper Reserve” full voucher; 3) Candlestick Park 1989 World Series Game 3 “Upper Reserve” full ticket and 4) Candlestick Park 1989 World Series Game 4 “Lower Box” full voucher. All tickets feature appropriate event details/logos and bold printing on all portions of the collectible.
