This one-of-a-kind tribute piece was last auctioned a dozen years ago along with Paige's 1949 Indians game-used jersey. The hefty trophy/icebox measures 6-1/4" tall and 10" wide from handle to handle. It is engraved, "PRESENTED / WITH GREAT PRIDE / TO / A NATIVE SON / OF NATIONAL FAME / SATCHEL PAIGE / MOBILE MAJOR LEAGUE DAY / MOBILE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE / OCTOBER 25, 1969." Also features a filigreed lid, glass inner chamber and "International Silver Company" imprint on the underside. EX condition with areas of surface patina throughout.
