Prese 1969-1972 Hillerich & Bradsby "S44" Thurman Munson signature model bat. This (32.9-oz/35") white ash lumber is inscribed 15 on the knob in black marker, which was Munson's number. The LOA confirms that the weapon was manufactured specifically for Munson during the aforementioned time period and grades the bat PSA/DNA GU 6. There is evidence of moderate use with ball, bat-rack, cleat and stitch marks throughout. The model number (S44) has been stamped into the knob and there are some white leather scuffs that are indicative of post player use. Accompanying is a full photo LOA from PSA/DNA. The PSA/DNA LOA states (in part): “After a thorough examination of this Thurman Munson professional model bat, and its player use characteristics, it is our opinion the bat is authentic and was manufactured for Munson during the referenced labeling period. Use by Munson cannot be confirmed.”
