This high number debut presents far superior to its overall assigned grade. The Negro League legend is accurately centered with evenly touched corners, factory crisp edges and soft surface colors. Reverse creasing along the upper edge of the reverse which does not break through the front surface accounts for Paige's overall evaluation.
