Description

For many, America was a happy place during the administration of President John F. Kennedy. After he was cut down by an assassin's bullet in November of 1963, a prolonged period of national mourning ensued. The U.S. Mint did its part to ease the pain, with a swift re-design of the half dollar in January of 1964, featuring a JFK bust on the obverse, and a modified presidential seal on the reverse.

Here we have a lot of (165) Kennedy half dollars, including many with silver content. Condition ranges as (90% XF to BU, 10% lesser), with:

1964-1983 Whitman blue folder set of (24) with: 1964 90% silver coins (2); 1965-1970 40% silver coins (5); 1971-1983 clad coins (17);

1976 Bicentennial display with gold-plated coins (2), and a gold foil stamp;

Loose coins (139) with: 1964 90% silver (2); 1965-1970 40% silver (98); and 1970s clad (39).
