The most important thing to know about this program—besides that it's 125 years old and features a healthy dose of Hall of Famers—is that the home team is none other than Ned Hanlon's notorious 1890s Orioles, known for their "Baltimore Chop" and other chicanery. The bright, vivid, beautiful cover design comes courtesy of esteemed Baltimore lithographer Guggenheimer, Weil & Co. It features a central head shot of O's pitcher Duke Esper, who was facing his former Phillies teammates (with whom he had once been a 20-game winner) and who finished out the 1896 season with a stellar 14-5 record. Dimensions are 6x9 and condition is GD/VG except for a cover stain at the upper spine.
