Description

Just the second surviving example that we're aware of, this fascinating little booklet is all wheat with no chaff. It contains the game scoring grid plus 14 full-page studio portraits—nothing more, nothing less. No filler, no fluff, no local ads. The 14 subjects are none other than Ned Hanlon's notorious 1890s Orioles of "Baltimore Chop" fame: Robinson, Kelley, Jennings, Corbett, Keeler, Clarke, Doyle, Reitz, Pond, Quinn, Hoffer, Bowerman, McGraw and Stenzel. Suiting up for the opposing All-America team's lineup were such names as Burkett, Dahlen, Stahl, J. Collins and Tebeau. The back cover is charmingly sponsored by Spalding. Dimensions are 5-1/2" square and condition is FR overall.
