The i's are dotted, the t's are crossed, and the deal is on the table for you to acquire several significant baseball autographs, with this vintage Uniform Player's Contract. Dated 1/31/68, this contract is made between the Oakland Athletics and pitcher Chuck Dobson, for the princely sum of $15,000, for the 1968 season. Dobson got off to a promising start, giving the A's six good years from 1966-1971, before calcium deposits in his pitching elbow rendered him ineffective. Located on the crisp contract's third page are (3) autographs averaging ("8-9") potency, with: Athletics owner Charlie O. Finley, AL President Joe Cronin (HOF), and hard luck pitcher Dobson. Also present is a 1968 Topps card #62 Dobson (NM). Full photo LOA from JSA.
