Graded Authentic by SGC due to color addition. Ty Cobb imposes his will on this century-old 1912 T227 Honest Long Cut example. Proclaimed as a “champion batsman” and “one of the greatest ball players of all time,” Cobb was joined by three other future Hall of Famers (Baker, Bender, Marquard) for the multi-sport designation. The icon and his wooden club emerge from a gorgeous tri-color dusk backdrop that is accentuated by careful uniform and facial detailing. The modification and a series of peripheral creases hardly impact this legend's overall presentation. The lengthy biographical reverse is clean.
