Artist Bo Brown came up with a doozy, when he illustrated the cover of this Philadelphia Eagles 1960 NFL Championship Game program. A reminder of events past, and a harbinger of what was to come, this classic cover depicts a proud Eagle perched atop a heap of downed mascots, representing regular season opponents the Giants, Browns, Lions, Redskins, Steelers, Cowboys, and Cardinals, while the fierce raptor has his head turned to its next victim, a "Meat Packer".
Issued at Franklin Field for a 12/26/60 contest between the Eagles and the Green Bay Packers, this very pleasing championship game program is a clean, solid example presenting EX-MT details, with deference to a 4" triangle being clipped from the bottom left corner of the back cover. The Eagles carried the day, besting the Packers by a score of 17-13, to hand coach Vince Lombardi the only postseason loss of his storied career.
Also present is a ticket stub from this same game. Good for Section EH, Row 6, Seat 32, this Franklin Field stub is a very pleasing (EX-MT) example, with abundant gloss, vibrant colors, and fantastic graphics.
