Written during the final two years of his life, the (50) personal checks in this lot are drafted on Philadelphia National Bank, and all hand signed by Alan Ameche in 1987 and 1988. Neiman Marcus, Sunoco, a carpet store, Bell Telephone, W Magazine, Gulf Oil, and a handful of individuals appear on the subject lines. Autographs generally average “9” strength with the majority better and only the occasional lesser.
